Free exercise courses in Cornwall's communities.

The Core Health Consultancy has teamed up with the NHS in Cornwall to offer a program of free exercise courses to communities.

Our Balance & Stability courses are designed to prevent people from potentially falling. All of these courses are FREE to the participant.

Cornwall is taking this seriously and recognises how effective these courses are, how they can improve quality of life and help reduce unnecessary hospital admissions by using a combination of simple armchair and standing exercises to improve strength, balance and mobility.

Helen Tite, founder of the Core Health Consultancy, explains: The fear of falling prevents many from performing daily activities and its the old adage use it or lose it. We lose our physical capabilities as we age.  The course design and structure is very nurturing and teaches basic core and balance exercise that is developed over the period of the course.

The course also addresses healthy living and works in partnership with physios, occupational therapists, GPs and nurse practitioners.

People who have attended previous courses have made improvements to their quality of life by using the exercise skills we have taught them. The exercises are designed to develop daily functionalMovements, which in turn increase the clients confidence in their own abilities.

The courses, which are commissioned by NHS Kernow, will help people make lifestyle changes which will have a positive impact on their health as well as boosting their self-confidence and offering the opportunity to make new friends. The Balance & Stability courses start in August and September 2015, in Falmouth, Newquay and Liskeard.

For further information and to register, please contact The Core Health Consultancy on 07887688789, or email us at health@thecore.uk.net
