The #Londonmarathon Effect

I sit here in my white company pyjamas sipping my latte and watching the #Londonmarathon on #instagram and the BBC. I am motivated... kinda. Let's be clear, the London marathon is an institution. It has inspired hundreds of couch potatoes to become athletes, it has given fame and raised awareness of some amazing charities. It unites our kingdom and has amazing inspirational stories.

Today I see on social media, former marathon runners showing their memories, I see happiness of the spectators and a showcase of the history, style and architecture of London, not to mention humanity.  One in a million run the marathon.  I can only imagine how many of us wish that one day it could be me.

My running days are over but my drive and inspired self, always searches for a new goal on Marathon Day. What is your goal?  Have you kept your New Year's resolutions? If not, today is a great day to reboot those goals of yours.

After months of illness and injuries, I am totally motivated to get back on track. I am looking for people who need support, just like me. I probably won't be adding marathons to my list, but I do need to sort my diet out and feel energised. I really need to kick some of those bad habits that have snuck back into my life and I am loving getting back to my sun salutations.

Join me and my journey. Let's go public on the struggles to get going and keeping motivated.

Over a quarter of a billion was raised last year at the London Marathon for large and small charities. How amazing is that? Keep running. Keep inspiring and doing a great job. You are "One in a Million!"
